The new movie that Clint Eastwood is directing, Gran Torino, has a scene being shot 4 houses down from mine. Its quite odd, Grosse Pointe is a sleepy town with absolutely nothing going on except philanderous husbands and cheating wives bopping about during the day, convieniently ditching the kids at one of the many lakefront parks until evening arrives. I expected this excitement when I lived in LA, as movies were shot almost weekly around my apartment building and on the streets which i walked daily. Tomorrow Mr. Eastwood is expected to be on the set for only a short period of time, and I intend to gently keep an eye on it while enjoying a glass of pinot grigio (with ice, since the temperature is expected to rise to a swealtering 95 degrees) on my front porch.
